Please read on...</p><p><strong>Overview of tasks</strong></p><p><strong>3rd Party Contracts / PO Management (PHAG and NPC): (55%):</strong></p><p>Process owner for various tasks on R&D 3rd party contracts / PO Management including:</p><ul><li>Accrual management (Linear accruals and cash out)</li><li><!--[endif]-->GRIR checks</li><li>PO amendments / migrations / closures</li><li>Update of R&D WBS masterdata</li><li>Performing related financial controls</li><li>Process Improvements and ad hoc queries</li></ul><p><strong>Clinical Trial Refund Process (25%):</strong></p><ul><li>Processing monthly Clinical Trial Refund<em> </em>between countries and Pharma AG entity</li><li>Intercompany invoice handling (includes follow up in case of technical issues)</li><li>Intercompany PO management</li><li>Update of the trial budget per country per study (TCF: Trial Commitment Form)</li><li>Checks on GRIR differences</li><li>PO closures / study close out</li></ul><p><strong>IFRS 16- Lease SPOC (5%):</strong></p><p>Acting as R&D SPOC for IFRS 16 lease reporting ensuring complete and accurate accounting and reporting of all lease related contracts within area of responsibility</p><p><strong>Month End Reporting (15%):</strong></p><ul><li>Monthly Balance Sheet Review for Biomedical Research (includes analysis and commenting on significant month-on- month variances).</li><li>Monthly FCRS Review (Novartis reporting tool) for Friedrich Miescher Institute (FMI) ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting in FCRS reporting tool.</li></ul><p><strong><em>Tools:</em></strong></p><p>Eshop SRM, SAP FI/ MM, Excel, Optimus (TCF management), Sonar, FCRS</p><p><strong><em>Skills required:</em></strong></p><ul><li>3+ years experience in Financial Reporting and Accounting (FRA), University (Finance) degree desirable</li><li>Strong collaboration skills to liaise closely with cross-functional stakeholders</li><li>Experience in collaboration with Auditors and Financial controls</li><li>Extensive knowledge in SAP and Excel</li><li>English is required; German is a plus</li><li>Willigness to work in a hybrid model - 3 days per week onsite</li></ul><p><strong>Why Novartis: </strong>Our purpose is to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people’s lives and our vision is to become the most valued and trusted medicines company in the world.
